About: I am a Plone/Python/Zope programmer, Second Life resident and activist, blogger, podcaster and videoblogger.

I am very active in both in the Open Source community around the content management system Plone and the international (also developer) community around Second Life.

My focus in the Plone community is right now to raise awareness about Plone and to make the Plone community be more open themselves. It's a great product but only insiders might know that right now. In the development section I am active implementing various web2.0 components for Plone so it's becoming a great tool for developing social networking sites (OpenID is even integrated already).

In the area of metaverses/Second Life I am quite active in the Second Life Grid Architecture Working Group. It's aim is to create a protocol/standard for interconnecting virtual worlds and thus eventually create the 3d web/internet. Again here I am trying to raise awareness of this project, too besides discussing the protocol and eventually implementing it.
